I have two nodes in the same datacenter, both running CentOS 5.2
I enabled the private IP and added it via the guide, http://library.linode.com/networking/configuring-static-ip-interfaces
ifconfig shows it's running, but when I try to SSH from one node into the other via the private IP I get no response. SSH'ing via the public IP works fine.
I followed the steps exactly as they're outlined in the guide, what might be the problem? |

You need to reboot (both of) your linode(s) so that your system can *see* the new IP address.
We'll amend the guide to clarify this in the next build.

| If it's still not working after reboot, check firewall. That got me one time. |
