I believe I've corrected the problem but we will continue to monitor the situation. Linodes are being restarted now.

hmmmmm. That's twice in, what, two, maybe three months my linode (in NJ) has gone dark. In neither case did I receive a proactive email (not even after the fact) about it. First failure was some sort of power failure blamed on the colo faciliity, and now a RAID controller takes me out. I have a rack full of plain-old-Dell servers, all running software RAID, some have been up for years . . .
Just posting to make sure other forums members evaluating the service are aware that it isn't all peaches and cream. |
