|
|
Hi Guys,
I rebooted my linode yesterday, and I don't seem able to get any external connections to it any more.
So i tried the emergency console - that works, but even if i stop the IP tables service and start the sshd one, ssh doesnt let me in, apache doesn't serve page etc.
i checked with ps aux what processes are running, and i can't see anything that would be stopping it.
Could you give me an idea of where else to look?
i can't see any sign of csf or other firewalls on there.
it's a CentOS 5.2 distro, i think. |

Hi Jamesw,
Can you check your "ifcfg-eth0" file for a line containing "HWADDR" and comment it out if it's there? After updating, restart networking with "service networking restart" and see if that fixes things for you. |
