I think it would be useful to have a notes section in the dashboard to create simple notes related to the configuration of the VPS.
I have 4 linodes currently and will probably have close to 40 within a year and a couple backend developers who act as backup system administrators. Sure its no substitute for proper server documentation but could save time for simpler things. |

Why not extend this suggestion a tiny bit and make notes in time? And while at it, just add a button where we can mark the note as "resolved", perhaps add a few tags and ability to follow up the note with a comment.

Yeah, and besides adding a Wiki and a Help Desk to the Dashboard they should add a Photo Gallery too.
I like to take self portraits of myself when I get that "ah ha" moment solving problems - it'd be really nifty if I could associate the photo with the problem right there on the Dashboard where I usually just do mundane management tasks related to the Linode VPS services.
After all, a dashboard is only as good as it's clutter density. |
