Current Apache version

I have an Ubuntu server running Apache. I just upgraded Apache but after I completed the upgrade I checked to see what the version number was and it was 2.4.18. I was expecting to see version 2.4.25 as its the most recent release. Can anyone provide insight into this?

Which ubuntu version are you running? Just because 2.4.25 is released doesn't mean there is a package for it in your version of ubuntu. 2.4.18 is the latest package in xenial (16.04 LTS) and yakkety (16.10). Only zesty (17.04) has 2.4.25.

Thank you, that is true and I am running Ubuntu 16.10.
