Hello,

I have recently moved a website from a previous server at Dreamhost over to my linode and have come across a strange error. Everything has gone well in the move in regards to website functionality except the contact form.

Using Breezing Forms extension on Joomla 1.5 website. The form works fine in validating input (notifying of errors) but as soon as the form is submitted with valid info, it just goes to a blank index page, without sending the information.

The forms worked without a hitch on my Dreamhost account and there has been no significant modification made from the standard deployment of Breezing forms.

I am just wondering if anyone perhaps uses a similar setup in one of their website and can inform me as to where the issue may lie. I assume it is something to do with which php modules I have enabled, but I am not sure which one I need to enable still to possibly fix the issue.

Thank you all for taking a look and offering advice if you may have some.

Anyhow, kind of wish I could delete this thread now that I realize what kind of tool I've been. Another newb mistake from not having any experience in running a virtual server.

On this particular linode (my own, I also have another one that I manage for someone else) I do not have a mailserver set up because I use Google mail. After I installed a Send-only Mail Server with Exim the contact aspect of the contact forms works ok.

Now just have to resolve why it goes to index with no confirmation back to the user. Again, worked perfect on Dreamhost and I did not change any website files in the move. Has to be something wrong or missing with my setup.

Doesn't throw any errors in the log

Don't delete the thread! :-)

The next poor schmuck who runs into the same problem will love you.

(No idea about your actual problem; I'm just campaigning on behalf of poor schmucks everywhere.)

It always drives me nuts when somebody posts a question somewhere about a problem, and then replies with something like "I figured it out" and nothing else. Because when I have the same problem and I'm trying to google for a solution, I'll end up finding these threads where people have the exact same issue, and solved it, but don't say *how* they fixed it.
