I need one more thing, i need mod_rewrite to be enabled on apache, how can i check that, or enabled it?

Ubuntu 10.04 at Fremont, is that what you asked?

run sudo a2enmod rewrite that will ensure it's enabled. (And distro is the operating system, i.e. ubuntu so yes thats what I asked )
