I have a linode running debian, and I use a game stats script called pyschostats to maintain player statistics for my gameservers. I recently updated to a new version, but now I get this:

Perl v5.10.1 is too old to run PsychoStats.
Minimum version 5.8 is required. You must upgrade before continuing.

Can someone assist me in updateing Perl?

Perl 5.10.1 is more recent than 5.8 so I think that's just a buggy version checker. Since it's a script you should be able to just comment out the version check.
