Hi Guys,

I am currently using Zoneedit to handle DNS for a site hosted on my Linode.

Unfortunately, the standard of service from Zoneedit has left a lot to be desired over the past few days and I've decided to switch to Linodes.

I've checked the DNS Management page but I'm a little lost.

Currently, Zoneedit acts as the nameserver for the domain in question.

ns3.zoneedit.com

I see an option for IMPORT ZONE on the Linode DNS Manager, assuming this tool will import all my Zone record info from Zoneedit for me, I tried to use it but it requests "Remote Nameserver" - I'm unsure what it wants here?

I've tried a combination of values but I can't seem to make it work.

If someone could help me I'd appreciate it!

Thanks,

Tom

If I remember it correctly, the "Import Zone" function would do an AXFR request to the remote nameserver you specify, and insert all records returned. "Remote Nameserver" would then be the ZoneEdit primary nameserver that you currently use for your domain name. This is usually the first of the nameservers assigned to you (e.g. "ns3.zoneedit.com" or "ns12.zoneedit.com"), so check your ZoneEdit account page (or your domain's WHOIS information, if your haven't moved it over already) to see which would be valid for your domain.
