SOLVED see below

I'm setting up a postfix /dovecot mailserver per the linode library.

I can't connect to the server to send mail, I suspect because my ISP is blocking port 25. (I can't telnet to port 25 from remote, I can from the linode itself.)

I want to reconfigure the server to listen for SMTP on port 465. How do I revise the linode configurations to do this?
