Post subject:  mail user agent and bounce handling (FBL)

Hi all,

After i have set up the mail server on debian (postfix)

How can i set up a feedback loop for unsubscribes and bounce handling. Or would this more or less be handled by a front end, for sending mass mail?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a front end by the way? Ideally I'm looking for something to connect up smtp details accessible by web browser, not something i have to run off my desktop.

thanks, Jon

Typically you would use some kind of mailing list software. The only one I have experience with is Mailman, which is included in the Debian repository. It provides features such as user subscribing/unsubscribing, web access to archives, and bounce processing. Mailman runs on the same server as your MTA (Postfix) and has a web-based interface.

It's very flexible and can do what you want with some configuration; there may be other options that are more directly targeted at your use case.
