I'm new to Exim and I'm having a hard time figuring out this: How can I tell Exim to accept mail to the address foo@example.com and deliver it to the local user foouser, which mail is stored in /var/mail/foouser in mbox format? The domain is specified in /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf like this: dc_other_hostnames='example.com' Debian version 7.5 |

Why would you pick the oh so obscure (and convoluted) Exim instead of PostFix? |

Using debian defaults is worth it sometimes... exim was a steep learning curve in the beginning. I have been there. this link may help: http://serverfault.com/questions/173104 ... tc-aliases I use exim4(since lenny) along with sa-exim(spamassasin plugin) and it has worked _very_ well. |

Thanks, Motohoss. That link led me to http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/140 which provided a good solution |
