hai guys any one know how to backup & restore mail of different users in the squirrelmai iam using squirrelmail on red hat enterprise version 9 any sugestions deeeply appreciated

Cool you must be a time traveler using redhat enterprise 9 when the latest release is 4 maybe you mean redhat 9 anyway squirrelmail uses imap how you backup and restore mail will depend on what is on the other end of your imap server most likely its just flat files.

Whoa, take it easy there!

As sednet says, Squirelmail generally just connects to a mail server like any other mail client. The files you want to back up are in users' home directories, probably under Mail/ or similar, and their spool files, /var/spool/mail/username . Those paths could be wrong, I'm not a RH expert, but that's the idea (as far as I know).
