Hi,

We started with $20 plan and moved to $80 plan but looks like we are not using all the resources and planing to move to $40 plan, should we expect same level of "uptime" and "performance" or Linode gives better preference to better plans?

Thanks

Hello,

Linode does not provide any greater weight or priority to the plans of lower resource allocation. This means that you should expect the same level of uptime and performance on your new Linode plan as you did on your old Linode plan.

However, this is speaking solely in terms of performance from a host aspect. Please note that if you are currently using high amounts of CPU, I/O or otherwise on your greater size plan, you will see an impact in performance that is outside of our hands when migrating down (simply because you'll not have as much resources). We would not be able to control this, so just to confirm that this is only in terms of the physical hardware having no greater priority for those who are on higher priced plans.

Thank you,

Dave.
