Why does Linode not provide RAID level details?

I was more than a little surprised to hear from Linode Support that they are unable to share details of the RAID level setup for their host servers.

As per this post from someone at Linode, they are definitely using battery-backed hardware RAID, so I am not sure what competitive advantage Linode gets from not sharing the RAID level setup:

To clarify, I am not looking for the RAID details in the context of backups (I do know that RAID is not backup). It just seems a bit odd, given Linode's generally transparent approach to everything else, that they won't share RAID level setup details. I am genuinely puzzled, that's all.
