I was just wondering: what is the status of the migration to Xen?

I'm looking at needing more memory for my Linode, but there's none available on my host! If the migration to Xen is just around the corner, maybe I'll hold out until the Live Migration feature is available.

And just to change subjects completely in the same post: Any chance of allowing multiple Linodes per account? I love the service here at Linode.com, and instead of getting multiple accounts or buying my own dedicated server, I'd love to just start splitting out the service's on my current Linode among two or more.

Thanks for the great service!

The Xen dev team has made great progress towards supporting > 4GB RAM on the host machines. However, it's not quite ready for production just yet.

The Live Migration feature won't necessarily solve this problem for you. Submit a support ticket and we'll see what your options are as far as moving to a new host with more RAM, or possibly upgrading your Linode all together.

Yes, there is a chance, however for now the you'll need to register a new account.

In the future, we'll enable accounts to be linked, and thereby managed via one login.
