Accounts are manually activated due to the number of fraudulent signups. At times, especially 5AM, this means that it could be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour or two before your account is activated. This was mentioned during the signup process.

Your account problalby hasn't been activated yet, eventough you recieved login information you can't login until the account has been created on the system.
