Abandonware is likely to be classified as copyrighted material, though. The
Acceptable Use Policy has this to say about
Copyright Infringement:

Creative, utilizing, or distributing unauthorized copies of software are a violation of federal and state law. Linode.com will cooperate with all law enforcement agencies in relation to alleged copyright infringement housed in our datacenters.
Or as I interpret it, "it'll work as long as you don't get caught". Linode.com won't actively check if you're hosting copyrighted material, but they
will act on it if they are contacted by the copyright owner.
