Just wondering when nodes at Fremont will be available. I'd like to setup there due to the location of most users.

Also, is transfering from datacenters possible? And what is the expected time to do that for a 360 or 540?

Thanks.

Fremont Linodes will be available early next week. Yes, you can migrate your Linode between data centers. Average transfer time is 10-15 minutes per GB.

Just submit a support ticket and we'll notify you when they're ready.

Yes, there are some Fremont Linodes available now, with more becoming available mid-week: http://www.linode.com/avail.cfm

Not sure about Melbourne, but from Sydney Australia, Fremont is definitely faster and has lower latency. I am getting around 300KB/sec and 180ms round trip time.
