I am considering transferring my domain registrar from Network Solutions to Google Domains. I use Linode to manage my DNS which has been working out fine. However, Linode DNS does not support DNSSEC, and Netsol will not turn this on unless they also control my DNS. Google Domains does support DNSSEC which I could turn on myself. I also have my domain using Google Apps, which might make it more convenient to use Google Domains.
None of these considerations precludes me from keeping my domain and files working as they are under my Linode VPS.
Right now, I do not think DNSSEC is a big deal for me. However, this exploration has opened a consideration of (a) changing my registrar from Netsol to Google, and (b) controlling my DNS under Google Domains instead of under Linode.
Does anyone have experience with any similar considerations?
