I have a domain that is registered at GoDaddy.com. I have recently reset the DNS Zone file there and changed the NS records to point to linode (ns1-ns5.linode.com) and had the TTL set to 600 seconds. From my understanding this change takes up to 6 hours to change over. Once that is done I can start really using the DNS Zone File I created at linode correct?

This can take a short amount of time to over 24 hours to happen.

Yes, once your local resolver gets the new name servers, it will use Linode to resolve DNS for that domain.

Thanks feliciano. I will wait for a couple of hours for the IPV6 address to show up on the reverse DNS. Furthermore, I am hoping that it does not take that long to have the DNS to resolve to the new NS records. In the mean time I will set up the DNS records (A) records for my sub domains in Linode's DNS Manager
