| Post subject: | Weird DNS issues |
Hi! I have a problem on my linode, and I'm not really sure how can I approach it... the problem is, that I can't ping my domains (located at ns*.linode.com), but I can ping every other domains. Any ideas? BEcause I certanly don't have 'em... regards. Wolfy. |

Everything you said is quite overwhelming and I really don't think we can help you with such an abundance of information. --James |

I can't ping my domains from my linode. e.g.: wolfy@wolfkind:~$ ping wolfhowlmedia.com ping: unknown host wolfhowlmedia.com however, from my own machine, I can ping it properly. PING wolfhowlmedia.com (207.192.71.120) 56(84) bytes of data. 64 bytes from li33-120.members.linode.com (207.192.71.120): icmp_seq=1 ttl=51 time=127 ms I have a bunch of of nameservers in my resolv.conf: search members.linode.com nameserver 67.18.92.7 nameserver 64.5.53.6 nameserver 12.96.160.115 nameserver 216.234.234.30 nameserver 69.93.127.10 nameserver 65.19.178.10 nameserver 207.192.69.4 nameserver 207.192.69.5 And I have absolutely no idea, what's going on... |

how does that list stack up to what is listed in the members section, under networks. IE is what is listed there the first 3 dns servers that you check? |

Internat: Ha! I have it! I've just had to clean up the resolution list, that was left from the previous instance of linode XD Thankies. |
