Post subject:  [SOLVED] Delay in Additional IP?
Hi guys,

I just added a second IP to one of my Linodes, but it doesn't appear to be working. Is there a delay for the address to be added or do I need to reboot the VM?

74.207.229.xxx is my new IP according the the dashboard.
Code:
root@platypus ~ # ip a s eth0
2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP qlen 1000
    inet 75.127.96.xxx/24 brd 75.127.96.255 scope global eth0

    inet 74.207.229.xxx/24 scope global eth0

If I need to reboot, I'll have to schedule that in 8)

Found my answer in the IRC channel.

For future reference: Yes, you do need to reboot :(
