I set up my Linode a cople of days ago. The DNS changes seem to have propgated throughout the internet, but I can't get reverse DNS to work for me. Whenever I try to use one of my reversed hosts on an IRC server I get the IP as my host and reverse lookup of an IP does not yield the address. Any hints? (What it probably is: I didn't set up the hosts on my Debian install -- does this need to be done? What file do I edit to do it?) - Debian 3.0r1 - DNS through GoDaddy - Reverse nameservers set up in the Linode members area. - I have an A entry for every IP address that matches one of my IP's. Thanks! |

If your IPs are in the 64.62.231 range, give it another 24 hours or so. HE just set up slaving off my DNS servers. Thanks, -Chris |
