Hi,

I just did a one-time copy of 5GB from one Linode in London to another Linode in London.

I used the IPv6 link-local address to connect, thinking I was smart. Now I'm just curious if these 5G will count towards my quota limit.

I realize Linode provides private IPs, but I don't want to fiddle around with that for a one-time job.

K.

No.

As an additional note, IPv6-IPv6 traffic within the DC using public addresses won't count towards your quota either.

Ah, so IPv6 allows smarter routing than IPv4.

Thanks staticsafe!
