Hi,

It seems like bandwidth on (at least) my server is very slow.

When I'm the only person on my site and ctrl+f5 refresh my mainpage (which has a 192kb background image) it takes FOREVER to load those tiny 200kb.. Realistically shoulnd't it be less than a second, or is there a CAP on speed at like 19kb/s ?? Cause that's how it seems sometimes.

It may not necessarily be the bandwidth.

Sometimes web applications are very slow initially, but the routines are cached making them faster on subsequent page loads.

That was happening to me - and the way you can test is to clear your browser cache and reboot the linode. If that results in it being slow but subsequent reloads are fast, then it's not a bandwidth issue.

If you are using a background image, btw, you might want to instruct browsers to cache it for at least 3 months.

You can test what is making your page slow with https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/
