Hi, is there a Mac friendly SFTP alternative to Filezilla? I'm working on Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and the latest version of FileZilla works with OS 10.7.
I downloaded an older version of Filezilla (Filezilla v3.2.7.1) which is not supported. I thought I could risk it but then I read a review that says this older version opens malware, etc. A mess.

Can anyone suggest something besides FileZilla?

Thx

Try Cyberduck. The current version (4.7.3) requires MacOS 10.7, but you can get the last version that supports 10.6.x (4.3.1) here (scroll down through the version history).

1) Upgrade OSX

2) Use Cyberduck (as pclissold suggested)

or 3) Use SFTP/SCP via the Terminal

To both of you, thanks so much! :D

I don't want to upgrade my OS system to 7 yet, because the version of all my Adobe applications will not be accepted by OSX- 7. Adobe Series costs a lot, even to upgrade. :(

So I'll try yoour alternative suggestions.

So I downloaded Cyberduck version for my Mac OS 10.6.8. And used the Linode Cyberduck tutorial: https://www.linode.com/docs/tools-reference/file-transfer/transfer-files-with-cyberduck-on-mac-os-x/
I carefully followed its instructions but for some reason the password box is grayed out! I was able to enter everything else but not pswd box! Would the deprecated note at top of page be reason? But why wouldn't it work if I'm using an older Operating System?

Is there a better tutorial regarding Cyberduck + Linode + MAC?

Thanks.

Only thing different from the tutorial example in Cyberduck is when I entered the IP: 192.155.91.45
the URL (below IP) became "sftp://centerschool@192.155.91.45:22/mirror"
"/mirror" was automatically added. Is that why I can't enter a password?
