Getting error message when connect with SSH

I am very new to managing a server, I was following the getting started guide and trying to connect to the server via SSH when I get this error message: "sshexchangeidentification: read: Connection reset by peer".

What could possibly be wrong?~~

Perhaps it's the Great Firewall?

Is there a solution to this? It happens to me frequently although not every time. I sometimes can ssh in after a couple re-tries.

Try 'ssh -v' for verbose connection messages. That often gives me a hint as to where the process fails.

Also, monitor the security log on your server. The name of the log is different between Ubuntu and Centos 6.
