Squid Proxy

Hello fellow linode members.

I have a really important question and I hope one of you experienced members could help me.

So every week I make around 50 servers that are booted with squid proxy.

The process of booting 50 servers and adding the squid stack script along with auth is tedious it takes me about 30-45 minutes.

Is their anyway I could possibly do this automated? For example I want to start 50 servers instantly with squid proxys.

Can someone guide me step by step on how to get this done it would help me out so much in the long run.

What you need is Ansible: https://www.ansible.com/

A single ansible script can boot any number of servers, set them up and start squid. Simple, easy and secure (via ssh).
