Linode DNS

general

The primary Linode name server responds in 70 seconds and the Linode VPS responds in 300+ seconds. Why is this so? :shock:

My Linode VPS is in the Newark DC and the the nameserver is in San Fransisco.

Do you mean a DNS query from your local machine to your both your VPS'es are taking very long to complete?

Certainly not.

Tweaks and optimization maybe? Where are you located? You're also using dig to your VPS?
