Has anyone got a simple ircd server?

I just want a small one for a support script i want to test.

Just has to have a password to connect to the server - and be on like a higher port - anyone got one?

I tried downloading some but they are really complicated - and i just need a simple one.

I found a small ircd package called darkfire (http://ircd.darkfire.net/) awhile ago, it wouldn't compile on my home box, but you might try it here. It's the smallest ircd I know.


My favourite ircd would be rageircd, (http://rageircd.sourceforge.net/]
which is larger and more complex but good.

For you, I'd reccomend either darkfire (above) or hybrid (http://ircd-hybrid.com/).
