Morning All

I am new to linode, so I apologize if I'm not asking in the correct place. Though first let me say I am REALLY impressed with the linode setup:) Anyway, off to the help I hope you can provide.

I am trying to give myself remote access through FreeNX and nomachine.

I have installed the freenx server (and even tried the one from nomachine) and the server seems to install fine. I installed the nomachine client from the website, and that goes fine.

My problem is that whenever I open a program, either the one I want, or just starting the X session remotely, I don't get any fonts. All fonts seem to be replaced by little empty boxes. I installed the additional fonts from the website, with no more luck.

Searching on the web has been no help, and the nomachine or freenx websites have been less so.

Any help or suggested alternatives would be greatly appreciated

Ok so after many hours of trying to problem solve...

Installing 75 and 100dpi fonts to server...installing font packs for nomachine, etc

I just did the shotgun fix and did a

yum groupinstall "X Window System" "KDE (K Desktop Environment)"

to just install the system entirely and Viola, the issue is resolved. Was hoping to get by without wasting the space for a full groupinstall, but this will work for now I suppose
