It is an error that really doesn't mean anything in the context of a linode. A keymap is used to map keyboard signals to corresponding letters in whatever language. Likewise, because you don't have a
physical keyboard attached, this error is entirely meaningless and can be outright
ignored. The closest you can get to this is lish.
You said it yourself, you can use lish and ssh just fine. No problems there, so this "problem" really isn't a problem.
That said, I do have a /dev/tty0 under my centos install.
