Hey guys, I wanted to know if anyone has had luck installing alfresco on their linode? I tried installing it on a linode 360 and 540 but i keep running out of memory when I try to start it. I don't if that's because of my configuration being off or what.

Thanks

Java applications tend to be relatively memory-intensive. There's a page on JVM tuning in the Alfresco wiki: http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/JVM_Tuning

This page suggests you'll probably need, at minimum, a 720 for the application, but should probably aim for a 1440 for any sort of reasonable performance. -rt

Thanks for your response. I was trying to test it out since we use sharepoint and I wanted to demo it for my company. But i'm not going to upgrade just to demo, maybe the company will invest in another server or vps.

Thnx
