I have a question, i´m moving my site from a shared enviroment to Linode. I´ve read that i have to upload the site to the folder "/mydomain.com/public_html/", but the directory structure where my site is hosted is "/public_html/mydomain.com". The files are right "below" the domain name, not after "/public_html/" as in Linode.

Do you think that is a problem?

As long as the vhost settings for that domain point to the correct path it doesn't matter what that path is.

If you put your files under

/path/to/the/beach/drink/beer/have/fun

As long as that path is set under your Apache settings you're all set.
