Hi folks,

What is the easiest way to migrate one linode to ec2?
Is it possible to do this with ec2-bundle-* commands as this seems to be effortless? Anyone tried it?

Regards,

Michal

My usual advice is to do the "Migrate a Server to Your Linode" procedure, but in reverse. This might require some kicking, depending on what the EC2 architecture expects.

Also, depending on your situation, consider using something like blueprint to clone your configuration... this can often be much easier than trying to make a verbatim copy bootable.

Remember to size your ec2 instance appropriately; EC2 nodes with comparable amounts of RAM to a linode will have a tiny fraction as much CPU power.
