manual. everything is on local drives,
not SAN or NAS. From what I've seen as a customer, if a server completely craps out, they move the drives to another server. If a server is dying but not dead, they'll notify you to schedule the migration to another server at the time of your choice (with a deadline).

offline, again because there is no SAN/NAS, live migration doesn't really work.
If you need an HA setup, you'll want to look into multiple nodes with failover and/or load balancing.
