Hi,

I have got a brand spanking new linode256 and want to setup some domains but i noticed you have to setup a dns server first how do I go about doing this within my linode I dont want to use external managed domains

i have 4 domain names registered with dotster.com

www.digitalmaniacs.net
www.digitalmaniacs.info
www.digitalmaniacs.co.uk
adrians.name

I have installed gentoo on my linode and want to install apache php, mysql etc, as well as running a dns server is this possible if so could someone please explain what packages I need to get to get this going.

Any help much appreciated

Adrian.

This might help with setting up DNS. You can also use a service like http://www.zoneedit.com/ which will do DNS for up to 5 domains for free.

http://www.everydns.net is another free dns provider. I have used them for a while and I think their service is good as well.
