A new era

I've had a VPS with another company since March 2009, which has served me well. This year, though, on the run-up to renewal date I went looking round for alternatives, and found Linode.

Although the lowest-spec package here is slightly more expensive than what I used to pay, the RAM and disk space available is doubled and the bandwidth allowance is four times as much. But it was the sophisticated control panel, with those graphs, Lish and the DNS manager, that convinced me to switch. And after the switch, although from here in the UK my site seems just as fast as it was before, I've heard that for friends of mine in the US and the Philippines it's much faster (I currently have a London Linode, and my old VPS was in the Netherlands).
