Host3's primary hard drive failed this morning, so we're running on the backup drive. The host was rebooted during this transition, Linodes are restarting now.

I have new host servers coming online today (hopefully), so I'll be setting up migrations for those on host3 to this newer/faster/better host. I'll post here and send out emails when that's done.

Are the new hosts that are coming on line in the same data-center as Host 3? Will we be able to keep our IP addresses, or will this migration require new IPs?

Nothing will change except the host you ssh into for Lish access.

To those on host3:

Due to the recent hard drive failure on host3, Linode.com is providing an "upgrade" to a faster host server. To migrate off host3, please follow these instructions:

1) Please login to the LPM website
2) Shutdown your Linode
3) Press the Migrate button located off the Overview page
4) Submit a boot job into the queue.

The migration should take between 10-20 minutes per Linode. This migration only affects which host you access Lish. Your IP address(es), config profiles, disk images, etc. all move to the new host automatically.

You may perform the migration at your leisure. Linodes that have not been migrated by Friday, April 29th will be migrated automatically some time Friday evening.

Thank you for your business,
Linode.com
