Host53 went unresponsive and was rebooted. Linodes are coming up now.

Did it reboot again this morning at about 7.45am EDT?

I think it did reboot this morning. I woke up to find my machine stuck in the boot process (it generally stops at "VFS: mounting root filesystem readonly" and I have to reboot it several times before it will get past that point).

And ... it looks as if it just got rebooted again.

Actually it's not down ... I'm logged into my Linode on host53 ... it's been up for about 10 minutes now.

kekc,

Is your Linode just waiting for the host-initiated restart to begin? Mine waited until about 13:27 for it to begin, and then it took another 20 minutes or so before it actually began to boot.

OK, that sounds like a long time ... mine job started a full 13 minutes after yours, and I've been up for half an hour now. Something may be not quite right ...

Yes, I'm shipping a new server to the datacenter this week, and should have migrations happening off host53 by this weekend.

I'm fairly sure that the boxes that have freezing issues need BIOS updates, but I don't want to do that with clients on them incase something goes wrong. Either way, you'll be staying on the new host, that we've got a number of up already (in another datacenter) that don't have these issues.

Please bear with us in the meantime while we get this resolve for you guys...

Thanks,
-Chris
