This message applies to Linode.com members on Host4:
As you are probably aware, host4.linode.com has had stability issues, requiring reboots every 2-4 weeks. Since this is an elusive problem, the decision has been made to migrate everyone off host4 onto a new, unused server (host7).
The migration process will move your entire Linode over to the new host. This includes your configuration profiles, disk images, and your IP address(es). No configuration changes on your part are necessary.
The automated migration process is available from the Members Overview page. To complete your migration please log in to the Members area, shutdown your Linode then initiate the migration process. It generally takes about 5 minutes per GB for your disk images to transfer to the new machine through the network. After the migration jobs have completed, you can reboot your Linode on host7.

Linode accounts that haven't been migrated by noon ET, October 19th, 2003 will be migrated by myself during the afternoon.
Thank you for your support!
