Newark8 died and is being rebooted. Linodes will be booted back up.

Sorry forgot to post the followup but Linodes were booted about 5 minutes after my previous post and things are back to normal.

newark8 has crashed again -- we are moving the hard drives to a hot standby host. We'll post an update here shortly.
