Due to a performance problem regarding another Linode on host7, host7's Linodes were restarted. There would have only been a few minutes downtime.

Usually this sort of thing isn't a problem, since I keep administrative windows open to all the machines via screen, etc. But with the main web server (nova) losing network connectivity yesterday (see previous post), it was a lost cause.

I'll be keeping multiple shells open to the machines from more than one location. In addition, I'm working on some patches to UML that will prevent this in the future.
