I understand that backups fail and as long as it's not too often I can live with it. However I would like to be notified when they fail. I'm not great with linux and make changes in haste, sometimes I need a quick revert and that's why I pay for the backup service. It works perfectly apart from when it has failed, I've not noticed and make a load of changes I need to revert.

Please just create an e-mail notification for automated backups, transparency and information is best.

Thanks
R

I have to agree with this feature request whole heartedly. I experienced a period of about a week last month where the automatic backups did not even run to the point of triggering a failure. I would not have known about this except that I happened to be making a manual snapshot before a big rollout. This feature would be very beneficial not only for backups that failed, but detect and notify for backups that don't even run.
