This post is duplicated in the Beta Testing Team forum simply to indicate that the item has been tested.

I tested this out this afternoon by attempting to add the maximum 64MB of RAM. It worked, but I have the following suggestion.

When I didn't check the checkbox concerning charging my credit card on a continual basis, the error: "Error in agree text." displayed. It would be useful to say something to the affect of: "You must agree to the blah blah statement by clicking the checkbox in order to submit your order for extras."

Also, AFTER I had added 64MB of RAM I went to try adding another 64MB of RAM. I got the following error:

"Either your RAM or HD selection is unavailable, or Linodes of this type are no longer available. "

I think this message is a little confusing. Is the host I'm on out of available RAM? (my theory) Also, purchasing extras doesn't have anything to do with new linodes, so it's confusing when it says "or Linodes of this type are no longer available." Maybe the error message(s) surrounding purchasing extras could be more specific.

Like: "You attempted to purchase extra RAM, but the host your linode is on does not have any RAM available." That would be more informative.[/i]

Changed the alert to "You must agree to the Terms of Service statement by clicking the checkbox."

I fixed it in two ways:

First, the Extras page now lists what is available on the host, so you can see beforehand.

The error message a Member will receive when choosing too much stuff is: You have selected extras that the host server does not have available. Please narrow your selection, and try again.

For new signups, if they choose too many extras: We're sorry, no plan was found that could match your request. Please narrow your selection, and try again.

That should help some...

SWEET!

I'm guessing this fix will be released in a later edition?
