I would like to toggle a 'Production'-option on the Linode-settings page for a particular node, which will set the background of the web-interface to a warning-red-ish-like-color when that node is selected.

A couple of times I've been really close to shutting down a production server (and even destroying the data-image ...), mistakenly thinking I was working on a development server.

I've also done some bad things via SSH on a production server (yeah, I'm not the best sysadmin in the world), but now I've made a script that does the above when I'm connected to a production server. I give me this warm feeling of safety when the background is red.

Sorry if this has been requested before. Couldn't find it tough.

Magnus -

Have you tried using display groups? If you go to the Settings tab for your production systems and add "Production" (or anything else you like) to the "Display Group" box and save, you'll see these Linodes separated from others on the main Linodes page. You'll also see the group name in the breadcrumbs when you click on any of these Linodes and go to their sub-tabs.

I hope this helps!

it wasn't quite what I was looking for, but still very sweet. I've made a "Production" display group now.

If I could change background-color of that group it would be perfect ;-)

Sure thing. I've forwarded your feedback on to our dev team and proposed an option to expand the display group feature with color labels.
