this only started happening a couple of weeks ago. ftp connection.

i've tried it on two different mac operating systems el capitan and the previous one. i've tried it with dreamweaver 5 and 6 and cyber duck. get the message that the file doesn't exist on server when i try to download it from my local files. but i know it is there, the website is fine.

if i reupload a file, it appears on the server.

You will need to provide more information for someone to help. What user are you logging in as? Where are the files located? What are the ownership/permission settings of the files as they exists on the server? FTP or SFTP?
