I am wondering if it would be feasible in a fairly short timeframe to install the patch which fixes the recently discovered kernel security issue with the uselib() system call.

From my understanding, this is a fairly benign patch, and it _should_ be possible to pull the sources from your last build, install the patch, and recompile without breaking anything.

Maybe do a compile and make this an optional kernel for those of us who think it's important?

I'll be releasing new kernels this evening or tomorrow.
