I know that this was asked about a year or so ago and wanted to know if anything has changed. My question is, are there plans to add Suse as a installable OS in the near future?

Thanks,
-John

For what it's worth, SuSE was my first choice as a distro before I posted this question about which other distro to use:

SuSE seems to have what Red Hat used to have, which is good corporate backing (IBM), yet geek friendly and willing to engage enthusiasts and small business, which Red Hat seems to have lost lately. Also, good package management, from what I hear. Also, it is reasonably popular for Webservers, not far behind Debian:

However SuSE is working on integrating a UML alternative called Xen, maybe caker is waiting for that? ;->

Can you repost the first URL that you mentioned?

Thanks,

I'd love to provide a SUSE image for you guys, regardless of Xen or UML :) Give us some time, however -- as we're busy getting Xen ready for a public beta test.

Thanks,
-Chris

It's GREAT NEWS to know you're working on Xen. I'll gladly be among the first guinea pigs.

We're pretty much done with it. Just a few odds/ends. Hop into the IRC channel if you're interested in taking a sneak peak. Otherwise, the public beta will be announced next week, most likely.
